FOREIGN ECONOMIC RELATIONS

In 2001 Andijan had economic relationships with 52 countries in the world. Of them 41 are with non-CIS countries (South Korea, Great Britain, Belgium, USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, China and etc.) and 11 are with former USSR states (Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrghyziya, Byelorussia and etc.)

The foreign trade curculation in 2001 has made 388678,6 Thousand USD.

*In the export structure the reduction of the share of Cotton fiber in the volume of export and increase of the share of a position of the machine and equipment is observed, that testifies about step by step transition of region from export of raw resources to export of ready production.

Companies with foreign investment:

As of January 1, 2002, there were 89 joint venture companies with foreign shareholders. (Including, including 10 Uzbekistan - U.S.A., 9 Uzbekistan - South Korea, 11 Uzbekistan - China, 4 Uzbekistan - Italy, 3 Uzbekistan - Germany, 15 Uzbekistan - Russia, 7 Uzbekistan - Kirghizia, 2 Uzbekistan - Kazakhstan and etc). 79 of the above companies are functioning successfully.
In 2001 the volume of products and services produced by joint ventures made up 154,2 million Soum, which is 48 % of the volume of the region. This is 200 % higher than last year over the same period.

Today 40 enterprises and representations with participation of the manufacturers of the region are established in abroad. The enterprises and representations were created in such countries, as Russia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Ukraine and Italy etc. The consumer goods like textiles, Agriculture products, foodstuff, and as sewing products were delivered in these countries.
. The advantage of establishment of an the trade house is expressed that it allows first of all to avoid bureaucratic methods at registration of the documents, and effectively work on the basis of the consignment contracts.
