It is not an exaggeration if to tell that culture of the peoples of the Fergana valley, where our region is located, is fundamental expression of centuries-old culture of the Uzbek people. The construction of the first musical drama theatre in 1918 has created the preconditions of development of theatrical art. Actors Who began thier theatrical career from Andijan theatre like Tamarahonum, Abbos Bakirov, Halima Nosirova, Lutfihonim Sarimsokova, Muzaffar Muhammedov, Soyib Hu'jaev etc. steel known not only in Uzbekistan but far outside too. 
In the region existing Theatre of a musical drama and comedies "Ahunboboev" Kids theater "Lola", Youth theatre named after A.Bakirov. 
Today following to the traditions of ancestors the large attention is given for development of cultural establishments. Thats why more than 531 libraries, 204 clubs, 2 museums and their branches in the sub regions, 1 philarmonic society, 1 regional Uzbek national dance school, 28 schools of music and arts, 36 cinemas, 5 parks of culture and rest and 14 parks of rest which promote spiritual development for the population of our region.

Decorative - applied and representational art

Modern Andijan is one of the ancient centers of the decorative - applied art in Central Asia. World famous culture of Eyletan (end of first thousand year B.C.) differ of ceramics sculpture and painted ceramic utensils, with the new forms, colors, and with structure of ornament utensils. Continuation of this culture is Marhamat culture of (1-4 centuries. of our epoch) when developed handcrafting of utensils with machine red flashed patterns. 
This kind of art further developed in epoch of a middle ages. The images famous of Davan deer's with branchy horns and goats found on a slope of mountains Suret Tash, concern to the period of formation of the state Davan ( second half of the first thousand B.C.). 
The numerous finds of ceramics, subjects of home use, ornaments, fragments of architectural monuments found out in a course of the archeological excavation testify to a rich heritage of decoratively applied art in Andijan. 
Develops miniature art in decoration of the books. Bloom of national creativity is shown in decorative-monumental art connected in erection of various memorial structures, mosques, columns, mausoleums, which usually decorated with rich decors.

The national jewelers "Zargar" have saved ancient engineering of punching, applique works, gravies works, inlays, grain, filigree works etc. Gold and silver bracelets, earrings, ring, head ornaments of the region are very famous.
The national knifes, daggers and sables are widely known outside of Uzbekistan. The lists on the handle, on a surface scabbard of "Shahrihan", "Qorasuv" and "Andijan" schools differ by the originality and unique beauty. They have traditional admirers not only in Uzbekistan, but also in other countries of East.
Today traditions in ceramics revive ever more too. Vase, jugs, utensils, the fountains, panel made by the Andijan foremen not only reflect of national traditions of this kind of art, but also widely apply modern design.
Expression of a centuries-old history of the Uzbek people is of embroidery of the national Du'ppi (head wear). The patterns on man's, female and children's Du'ppi (head wear) always were expressed aspiration those who them carried to goods, prosperity, perfection.
